K2 Alexis Ice Pro Womens Ice Skates

Wow. Who knew that ice skates could be comfortable?? I love skating lakes and ponds, but my toes get cold easily, and I’ve always found hockey and figure skates to be so uncomfortable. Enter these, and I’m so thankful I found them! The sizing is accurate. I typically wear a size 9 running shoe in New Balance, and a 9 in these fits perfectly. I’m not sure why some reviews mentioned these to be difficult to get on. The lacing system is incredibly smooth and easy to use. They also tighten really well with the ski boot style buckle at the top. I skated over 10 miles outdoor on the pond in sub 30 degree weather, and I could have kept going. My toes were warm, and my feet were comfortable throughout.As other reviewers have mentioned, these do arrive somewhat sharp, so it won’t prevent you from hitting the ice right away. But you will still want to get them professionally sharpened. The difference in the grip on the ice after I sharpened them was incredible.Being able to continue enjoying the outdoors while there’s minimal snow, but plenty of ice, has been such a joy.
